Merapoh's trail-running appeal

Merapoh is associated with thick rainforest, distinctive limestone formations, caves and rural Pahang landscapes near Taman Negara. These trails demand different pacing and equipment from road marathons; long climbs, variable footing and warm conditions reward preparation. Tourism material has reported more than 1,800 participants in past years, but that figure has not been confirmed as a 2026-specific attendance total.
