New Year @ Tasik Melati Run 2027

New Year @ Tasik Melati Run returns for its ninth edition with a two-day programme at Tasik Melati Recreational Park in Perlis. The event opens on New Year’s Day with the 1K Kids Dash at 6:00 pm MYT, followed on Saturday morning by the 12K Bendang Run at 7:00 am and the 5K Fun Run at 7:30 am.

The published cut-offs are 30 minutes for the 1K Kids Dash, two hours for the 5K and two hours 30 minutes for the 12K. That gives the weekend a mix of family participation and a longer morning challenge while keeping the event accessible to recreational runners.

Registration is scheduled to close on 30 November 2026, or earlier if available places are filled. The organiser has published three pricing phases for all categories, with fees ranging from RM30 for the earliest 1K entry to RM75 for the normal 12K entry.

Tasik Melati Recreational Park is a well-known outdoor recreation area near Kangar, used for jogging and other leisure activities around the lake. The current event page does not yet publish a detailed course map, race-pack collection schedule, prizes or full participant entitlements, so runners should check the organiser’s latest updates before travelling.
