Event Detail
Pekan Rabu Half Marathon 2027 brings runners to Alor Setar, the capital of Kedah, on Saturday 9 January 2027. Hosted at the Pekan Rabu market complex in the city centre, the event offers a half-marathon alongside shorter road-running options, with the distinctive central Alor Setar location as its focal point.
Race-day planning
The organiser, Pelikat Batik Run, advertises a local event window of 3:00 am to 10:00 am (Malaysia time). This is the overall event window, not a confirmed individual flag-off time for every distance. Participants travelling from outside Alor Setar should arrange their arrival with this early schedule in mind.
The confirmed programme includes 21 km, 10 km and 5 km options. The 21 km race suits runners seeking a half-marathon challenge, while the shorter choices offer alternatives for those not entering the longest category. The published event information identifies Pekan Rabu as the venue, but the exact course routes, category-specific start times and bib collection arrangements should be checked against subsequent organiser announcements before race day.
Entries and updates
Entries are advertised through the Howei registration platform. Its current event listing shows an overall entry-price range of RM45 to RM150, so consult the registration categories for the applicable price and conditions. Before travelling, check the organiser's latest updates for course instructions, collection arrangements, equipment requirements and any changes to the race schedule.
