New Year Run Bukit Mertajam 2027

New Year Run Bukit Mertajam 2027 is a community 5K fun run based at AEON Mall Bukit Mertajam in Penang. Scheduled for Sunday, 31 January 2027, it is aimed at runners and walkers looking for an accessible short-distance event rather than a long competitive road race.

The published event programme begins at 6:45am MYT, followed by a 7:00am warm-up and the 5K flag-off at 7:30am. The itinerary anticipates the first runners returning from about 8:00am, with Zumba from 8:15am, a lucky draw at 9:00am and the programme ending at 9:30am. Participants should treat those times as the organiser's current schedule and check the registration page again before race day in case of updates.

Two limited entry tiers are advertised: a RM34.90 Super Early Bird offer for the first 100 registrations and an RM39.90 Early Bird rate while that allocation remains available. Registration is scheduled to close at 11:59pm MYT on 30 January 2027, or earlier if places sell out.

The current participant entitlements include an event jersey and finisher medal, and the organiser also advertises a lucky draw. Shirt sizing information is published on the registration page. Detailed route, aid-station, cut-off and race-pack collection information has not yet been confirmed in the accessible current-edition material, so runners should monitor the official listing for those practical details.
