RSAWIT International Marathon 2026

RSAWIT International Marathon 2026 marks a major step forward for Sibu’s road-running calendar. Organised by Rimbunan Sawit Berhad with support from the Sibu Divisional Tourism Task Group, the 2026 event expands the former RH Half Marathon into a full marathon programme and is expected to attract about 5,000 local and international participants. The race hub is Dataran Tun Tuanku Bujang Phase 1 & 2, also known as Sibu Town Square, in the centre of Sibu.

Race day runs from midnight to 07:00 MYT on Sunday, 22 November. The 42K starts at 00:00 with a seven-hour cut-off, the 21K at 03:00 with a four-hour cut-off, the 10K at 05:00 with a two-hour cut-off, and the 3K fun run at 06:00 with a one-hour cut-off. The 42K, 21K and 10K offer National and International Men/Women Open and Veteran divisions. The 3K is a fun run with no published age limit. Open runners are generally 16–44 for 42K and 21K, 13–44 for 10K, while veteran divisions begin at age 45.

Under the organiser’s published eligibility rules, Malaysian runners who register in an International division are also entered in the corresponding National division and may qualify for both award structures. Overseas runners enter the International divisions only. Timing chips are supplied for 42K, 21K and 10K. All distances include an event T-shirt, running bib, finisher medal and e-certificate, while 42K and 21K runners also receive a finisher T-shirt.

Registration closed on 15 September 2026. Race-pack collection is at the Grand Jasmine Ballroom, Level 2, RH Hotel Sibu on 20 November from 11:00–18:00 and 21 November from 11:00–17:00. Participants are instructed to bring their registration confirmation slip and original NRIC or passport. The accessible current-edition material confirms the venue, timetable, divisions and entitlements, but does not provide enough route detail to justify inventing course landmarks or elevation.
