Sarung Stride & Strive Run 2027 - Kangar

Sarung Stride & Strive Run 2027 brings running and Malaysian cultural heritage together in Kangar, Perlis. Inspired by the traditional kain sarung, the event invites runners and families to celebrate local identity, enjoy an active weekend and dress with a little character. The running venue is Denai Larian Pengkalan Asam, a recreation and jogging area beside Sungai Perlis. The event offers an accessible children's dash, a sociable 5K and a longer 12K nature-run challenge.

Two-day programme

• Friday, 29 January: The 1K Kids Dash starts at 6:30 pm and has a 30-minute cut-off. Separate boys' and girls' entries are offered.
• Saturday, 30 January: The 5K Fun Run and 12K Nature Run both start at 7:00 am. The 5K has a 90-minute limit, while 12K participants have two hours and 30 minutes. The 12K includes men's and women's open and senior divisions.

The organiser's headline poster promotes 30 January 2027, but the published detailed flag-off schedule places the 1K children's event on the evening of 29 January. Runners should follow the individual category's start date and watch the registration page for any subsequent schedule updates.
