6th Sierra Madre Trail Ultra 75 Rizal 2027

The sixth Sierra Madre Trail Ultra 75 takes runners into the steep mountains east of Metro Manila on Saturday, 10 April 2027. The event is based in Sitio Wawa, Barangay San Rafael, Rodriguez, Rizal, a recognised starting point for trail running in the Sierra Madre foothills. It forms part of the Asia Trail Master championship programme, giving this demanding Philippine race significance beyond its local mountain-running community.

The latest 2027 race artwork specifies an actual course of 77.5 km, despite the established 'Ultra 75' event name. Its official elevation profile lists approximately 4,778 metres of climbing and 4,775 metres of descending. The silhouette shows repeated steep ascents and descents rather than a single sustained climb. Asia Trail Master describes 12 distinct peaks along the mountainous course, making climbing strength, technical descending and sensible effort management essential.

The scheduled start is 2:00 am Philippine time, with a 19-hour overall cut-off. That means runners should be prepared for early-morning darkness and many hours of exposed or humid daytime mountain conditions. The course is challenging even for experienced ultra runners. Participants should study the organiser's latest route and mandatory-equipment briefing rather than relying on maps or gear lists from earlier editions.

Asia Trail Master also states that runners must bring a medical certificate issued within six months of race day. Competitors travelling from elsewhere in the Philippines or overseas should arrange this early, allow time to reach Rodriguez and check the organiser's current transport information. Prize money is advertised for the top five men and top five women.

The 2027 organiser artwork carries ITRA, Asia Trail Master and UTMB Index branding. Eligibility for rankings or index recognition should be confirmed against the final event rules, particularly if relay participation is offered. The race's published 2027 flyer and the championship series page are the most useful references for current-edition details. Entry fees, final registration deadline, race-pack arrangements and the final course file should be reconfirmed with Maharlika Trail Series before travel.
