Pingtung Kenting Japan Airlines International Marathon 2026

The 2026 Pingtung Kenting Japan Airlines International Marathon is a four-distance road event in southern Taiwan on 15 November 2026. Organised by Pingtung County Government with Japan Airlines as title sponsor, it is centred on Kenting Dawan Lawn and has published capacity for 3,500 runners across the marathon, half marathon, 12K challenge and 4K fun run.

The 42K heads south on Provincial Highway 26 towards Eluanbi before continuing around the east coast through areas including Shueiwaku, Fengchueisha and Jialeshui. Half-marathon runners use the same opening direction before turning back around Longpan Park and Puting Grassland. The 12K stays on the coastal Highway 26 corridor and turns near Puting Road, while the 4K provides a shorter family-friendly course with views towards Dajian Mountain.

The marathon begins at 06:00. The half marathon uses two waves at 06:05 and 06:15, the 12K uses waves at 06:20 and 06:25, and the 4K starts at 06:30. Time limits are 6 hours 30 minutes for 42K, 3 hours 30 minutes for 21K, 2 hours for 12K and 1 hour for 4K. Marathon runners also face intermediate cut-offs at about 23.2 km and 33.4 km.

Bag drop for the longer races operates from 05:00 to 05:45 at Dawan Lawn. Parts of the event use open roads under traffic control, so runners must follow police and marshal directions. Paper cups are not supplied at the venue or aid stations, and participants are asked to carry a reusable cup.

Taiwan-based entrants normally receive race materials by mail during race week, while overseas runners collect at Dawan Lawn from 13:00 to 18:00 on 14 November. A Runner's Night is held that evening at Howard Beach Resort Kenting. Registration has been extended to 9 October 2026, subject to capacity.
