Event Detail
The Yilan Four Seasons Double Reef Marathon returns to northern Taiwan on Sunday 10 January 2027, organised by the Yilan County Four Seasons Running Club. Based at the themed Yilan Kiln-Baked Shanzhai Village, the race combines country roads, river embankments, village lanes and foothill scenery around Longtan Lake and the Dajiao River. The programme includes a full marathon, half marathon, 10K fitness run and a 4K family run, with a combined capacity of 2,600 entrants.
Courses and scenery
The marathon route passes Shuanglun Bridge, Paolun community, Fuyan Temple and Longtan Lake before heading towards Huideng High School, Hushan Elementary School, the Dajiao River Bridge and rural roads near the university experimental forest. It includes repeated sections in the Dajiao area before returning via Xiaojiao River landmarks. The half marathon shares much of the early route, including Longtan Lake, then returns through Erjie Village. The 10K runs towards Longtan Lake and back, while the 4K family course loops through Paolun community. These are open public roads, not a completely traffic-free circuit; participants must obey marshals and watch for vehicles.
Race-day arrangements
Assembly and baggage drop run from 05:00 to 06:00. Marathon and half-marathon entrants start at 06:30 Taiwan local time; 10K and family runners start at 06:40. The published limits are 6 hours 30 minutes for the marathon, 3 hours 30 minutes for the half, and two hours for each shorter distance. The organiser schedules the final marathon cut-off at 13:00 and closes the event at 13:10. Water or refreshment points are planned roughly every 2.5–3 km, with drinks, fruit and assorted snacks depending on the station.
Registration and practical planning
Registration runs from 8 August until 15 November 2026 at 23:59, or earlier if places sell out. The 4K family entry costs TWD 750, starts at 06:40 and has a two-hour limit; unlike the three longer distances, it does not use a timing chip. Marathon, half-marathon and 10K entrants pay an additional refundable TWD 100 timing-chip deposit. Runners must be at least 16 for the marathon and half marathon; under-18 entrants require parental consent.
There is no pre-race expo collection or race-day registration desk. Race packs are delivered by courier, with separate shipping charges, and are expected during the week before the event. Overseas runners should confirm delivery arrangements before paying. The venue is at 140 Meizhou 2nd Road, Yilan City. Allow time to arrive before the early starts; staying in Yilan or nearby Jiaoxi is more practical than travelling from Taipei that morning. The organiser may postpone or cancel in severe weather or other exceptional circumstances.
Race Pack Information
No in-person collection. Race packs are couriered about one week before race day; postage is additional (TWD 110 for one mainland Taiwan entrant, higher for islands). Confirm address and delivery arrangements with the registration service.
