Amazing Kamphaeng Phet Marathon 2027 - Thailand

Amazing Kamphaeng Phet Marathon 2027 returns on Sunday 20 June 2027 for its fifth edition, bringing runners to Kamphaeng Phet in northern Thailand for a race around the historic town and its UNESCO-listed heritage precinct. The organiser, Route Map, also promotes the event as the World Heritage Marathon, highlighting the setting around Kamphaeng Phet Historical Park, an important part of the Historic Town of Sukhothai and Associated Historic Towns World Heritage Site. The main event hub is the old Mueang Kamphaeng Phet District Office.

Course and race-day schedule

The 2027 programme offers a full marathon (42K), half marathon (21K), 10K and 5K. Organiser-sourced programme information lists flag-offs of 03:00 for 42K, 05:00 for 21K, 05:50 for 10K and 06:00 for 5K, all Thailand time (UTC+7). Cut-offs are 6 hours 30 minutes, 4 hours, 2 hours and 1 hour respectively. Some international third-party entry pages display 03:30 for the marathon; runners should reconfirm that particular start directly with Route Map before race week. The historic setting is a major draw, but check the organiser's final course map and road-closure notices before making travel arrangements.

Registration and heritage-park admission

The organiser publishes a registration schedule of 26 August to 30 September 2026 (Pay Day), 1 October to 31 December 2026 (Early Bird) and 1 January to 31 March 2027 (Regular), subject to capacity and booking-platform conditions. The entry-fee cards reflect prices reported from the current-edition organiser registration material and may change by sales tier; verify checkout totals. For 21K and 42K registrations, heritage-park admission is charged separately at checkout, advertised as THB 20 for Thai runners or THB 200 for foreign runners. The 5K and 10K entries do not add this park admission charge. Show your bib if entering the historical park on event day under the organiser's participation terms.

Collection and participation rules

Race bib and shirt collection is scheduled for Saturday 19 June 2027, 12:00–18:00, at the district office. Bring your bib/registration reference and national identity card or passport. Eligible runners may arrange Thai postal delivery for THB 60, with a deadline of 31 March 2027 and dispatch planned for early June. The organiser states that entries are personal and refunds are generally unavailable after payment. Wear the bib visibly, use only authorised aid stations, and obey course cut-offs; littering and unofficial personal pacers can lead to disqualification.

What's included

Entry includes a race bib, event shirt, accident cover of up to THB 10,000 during the race for eligible online registrants, post-finish meals and refreshments, and a medal for runners completing within the time limit. 21K and 42K finishers also earn a standard finisher shirt; a separately purchased Sub Challenge rewards eligible 10K sub-60-minute, half-marathon sub-two-hour and marathon sub-four-hour finishers with an additional shirt, subject to the organiser's rules. The organisers advertise chip timing for the competitive categories.
