Korat Marathon 2026

Korat Marathon 2026 returns to Nakhon Ratchasima on Sunday, 8 November as a major point-to-point road race through the heart of Korat. The event is organised with Nakhon Ratchasima Province and Race Up Work Co., Ltd., and the current organiser site identifies it as a World Athletics Road Race Label event. The 2026 programme offers a full marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K, giving both competitive distance runners and newer participants a place on the same race weekend.

The course begins at Thao Suranaree Monument, the city's best-known historic landmark, and finishes at Bung Ta Lua Water Park. Organiser information describes a city route passing significant Korat landmarks before reaching the lakeside finish area, with roads fully closed to traffic along the race route. The marathon starts at 03:00 and has a 6 hour 30 minute cut-off. The half marathon follows at 04:00 with a four-hour limit, the 10K starts at 05:00 with a 2 hour 30 minute limit, and the 5K starts at 05:30 with a 1 hour 30 minute limit.

The event has grown into one of northeastern Thailand's larger road races. The organiser reports 15,335 runners at the 2025 edition, while current 2026 publicity expects more than 10,000 participants. Registration is staged, with the Early Bird period running through 30 September and late registration from 1 to 8 October, subject to capacity.

Race-pack collection is scheduled for 5 to 7 November at Grand Hall, first floor, The Mall Korat, from 10:30 to 19:00. There is no postal delivery or race-day collection, although proxy collection is allowed with the required documents. On race morning, shuttle buses operate from The Mall Korat to the start area from 01:30, and post-finish shuttles return runners towards The Mall and Ya Mo. Baggage can be deposited near the start before racing and collected near the finish afterwards.

Awards use gun time for overall and Thai overall placings, while age-group and Top 100 rankings use chip time. A charity entry option is also available across all distances, adding special apparel and a charity receipt to the standard race entitlements.
