Event Detail
Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths 2026 is a trail-running event through Vietnam's oldest national park, taking place on 26–27 December 2026. Race Jungle, part of NEW RACE JSC, organises five courses of 10km, 25km, 42km, 75km and 100km around the Ho Mac Lake event centre in Ninh Binh. The race promotes biodiversity conservation, with part of the entry supporting the national park.
The 100km starts at 6pm on Saturday 26 December and follows forest-edge villages and primary forest, with a 26-hour limit and about 3,500m of combined ascent and descent. The 75km begins at 10pm on Saturday, with a 22-hour limit and approximately 2,500m of elevation change. Both are challenging overnight trail races.
On Sunday 27 December, the 42km starts at 7am near Ngheo village in Thanh Hoa. Runners cross a suspension bridge and follow more than 30km through primary forest. Organiser buses transfer runners from the park entrance to this separate start. The cut-off is 13 hours. The 25km starts at 9am with an 11-hour limit, while the 10km starts at 10am with a 10-hour limit. All courses finish at Ho Mac Lake, with the final course closure at 8pm Sunday.
Race-pack collection is scheduled for Saturday 26 December, from 9am to 8pm, at Ho Mac Lake. Race briefings and bag-drop facilities are provided. Runners in the longer distances must meet mandatory gear requirements and may be checked before entering the forest core. The 100km requires a verifiable previous finish of at least 70km; the 75km requires at least 42km; and the 42km requires at least 21km. Qualifying evidence must be supplied at least 30 days before race day.
The event provides bibs, timing chips, event shirts, on-course support and eligible finisher medals and certificates. The 42km, 75km and 100km also offer finisher shirts. Travelling runners should arrange accommodation and transport early and check the final race guide for route and checkpoint updates.
The confirmed 75km category is not selectable in ARC's current distance list, so it is described here rather than being incorrectly represented by another distance.
