Vung Tau City Trail 2026 is a coastal trail-running festival in southern Vietnam, held in the Vũng Tàu area on Sunday 29 November 2026, with the organiser's broader event programme covering 28–29 November. Part of the Vietnam MTB Series City Trail Series, its theme, Run with the Giants, refers to the region's distinctive landscape and the run up and around Núi Lớn, also known as Big Mountain. Rather than an exclusively paved road race, this event combines access from a seaside city with wooded hill trails and a more demanding off-road setting.
Course choices
The current organiser and official ticketing programme confirms 7 km, 12 km, 25 km and 35 km distances. The longer courses are restricted to runners aged 18 and above. For 7K and 12K, children aged 7–13 must have an adult guardian aged at least 18 registered and running with them. Participants aged 14–17 need either an accompanying guardian or the prescribed signed parental or guardian declaration and waiver. Those entering should choose on the basis of trail experience and the final course maps rather than treating the distances as equivalent to flat city-road races. ARC's current distance tags do not contain 35K; that legitimate 35K category is described here but cannot yet be displayed as an exact distance tag.
Venue and logistics
The listed event base is the Vũng Tàu Revolutionary Tradition House, No. 1 Ba Cu Street, near the city's historic Front Beach district. The registration provider publishes an overall race-day window of 05:00–12:00 local Vietnam time; check the individual wave schedule for your actual flag-off, because the overall window does not establish the start time of each race. The organiser has dedicated sections for race agenda, kit collection, prize details, rules and official course information, and entrants should consult the most recent versions before travelling. The map coordinates here indicate the approximate Front Beach venue area, not a surveyed start-line point.
Registration rules
The official registration page sets an Early Bird price period from 19 September through 18 October and a Regular period from 19 October to 15 November 2026. Registered participants should verify their identifying details carefully: the ticket provider says certain name, email, phone and identification changes cannot be made after registration. A bib transfer incurs a VND 200,000 handling fee, while changing distance also involves the fee difference where applicable. Requests must reach the provider by 23:59 on 15 November. The published policy states that entry payments are non-refundable. Check the organiser's final guide for cut-offs, required trail equipment, aid-station provisions and conditions for the hill sections before race day.
