The ASICS METARUN Packable Gilet is a lightweight sleeveless layer for runners dealing with cool wind and changeable weather. It adds protection around the torso while leaving the shoulders and arms unrestricted, making it a practical option when a full jacket would feel excessive.
ASICS uses a premium lightweight fabric intended to help shield against cold and wind. When the weather improves, the gilet can be removed and packed into its own rear pocket for easier carrying during the rest of the run. Its compact design is aimed at training days when conditions may shift between exposed, breezy sections and warmer sheltered areas.
This garment is not presented by ASICS as a fully waterproof rain shell, so runners expecting sustained rain should consider a dedicated waterproof jacket.
