The Saucony Hurricane 26 is a maximum-cushion road-running shoe for runners who value a supportive, protective feel on everyday kilometres. Its new incrediLUX midsole foam is designed to remain plush under load, making the shoe particularly relevant for easy runs, longer steady outings and walking between training sessions. Saucony positions the Hurricane family in its stability range, although the amount and type of guidance each runner needs will depend on their stride and preferences.

The updated construction combines a breathable comfort-mesh upper with a secure, padded fit. An XT-900 carbon-rubber outsole is intended to withstand repeated use on roads and other firm surfaces. Saucony lists a 6 mm heel-to-toe offset for this model. These features make it a sensible option for runners prioritising cushioning and consistency over an especially light or aggressive racing feel.

The substantial cushioning may be less appealing for short, sharp intervals or runners who prefer close ground contact. As with any supportive shoe, try it on rather than assuming it will suit your mechanics. Check width options, heel hold and toe room before purchasing. The US$170 reference is Saucony's official US listed price, checked on 18 October 2026. This is manufacturer-based research, not a hands-on review.
