Samsung Galaxy Watch8 is an Android smartwatch with dedicated running and fitness tools alongside everyday smart features. Its dual-frequency L1 and L5 GPS is designed to improve outdoor position accuracy, while Samsung's Running Coach assesses running level and provides structured training. The watch also tracks heart rate, workouts, sleep and stress through Samsung Health.
Samsung lists a 3 nm five-core processor, 2 GB memory, 32 GB storage and a display rated up to 3000 nits. The aluminium watch is 8.6 mm thick and is offered in 40 mm and 44 mm sizes. Battery capacity is 325 mAh or 435 mAh respectively, with up to 30 hours of stated use when the always-on display is enabled. Bluetooth and LTE configurations are available.
The Galaxy Watch8 is most suitable for runners using a compatible Android phone who also want smartwatch apps and health features. It is not compatible with iPhone, and some functions require a Samsung account, Samsung Health or a supported Galaxy phone. Battery life also varies with GPS, LTE and display settings. Check regional feature availability before purchase. The US$299.99 starting regular price for the 40 mm Bluetooth model was verified on Samsung US on 23 October 2026.
