The New Balance FuelCell SuperComp PWR-X v3 is a specialised track sprint spike intended for athletes racing from 60 to 400 metres. It combines a responsive FuelCell foam platform with a carbon-fibre plate to support powerful acceleration and fast running. The lightweight synthetic upper uses traditional laces for an adjustable, secure fit. New Balance lists the current UELS2NV version at approximately 169 g, although weight varies by size and colour specification.
This model is built for competitive athletics tracks, not everyday road training or longer-distance runs. The stiff sprint-oriented structure and spike traction can feel harsh away from a suitable track surface, so it should be reserved for appropriate sessions and races. Check your competition's permitted spike type and pin length, as well as the venue's surface rules. Unisex sizing needs particular attention: compare the men's and women's conversion chart rather than relying on a usual casual-shoe size. If you need substantial cushioning or stability for easy mileage, choose a dedicated training shoe instead.
