The Suunto Vertical 2 is a rugged GPS sports watch for trail runners, ultrarunners and outdoor athletes who need mapping and long endurance. Its 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display is paired with dual-band satellite positioning, free offline maps, route navigation, heatmaps and Climb Guidance for planning and following hilly courses.
Suunto lists more than 115 sport modes and includes wrist-based heart rate, blood-oxygen readings, HRV measurements and sleep tracking. A built-in LED flashlight adds practical illumination around camps or aid stations, while 100-metre water resistance supports wet-weather training and swimming. Battery life is rated up to 65 hours in the highest-accuracy multi-band GPS mode, up to 250 hours in Tour mode with heart rate off, and up to 20 days in everyday smartwatch use with daily heart rate enabled.
The watch supports structured workouts, Suunto Coach and connections to services including Strava and Komoot. This draft uses the standard All Black steel version and its official US$599 price checked on 21 October 2026; titanium variants cost more. Battery life depends on settings and conditions.
