The Xero Shoes HFS II is a minimalist road-running shoe for runners who prefer ground feel, a flexible platform and room for natural toe movement. It suits road training, shorter runs and everyday wear for people already comfortable with low-cushion footwear, rather than runners looking for a thick, protective midsole.

Its zero-drop geometry keeps heel and forefoot level, while the wide, foot-shaped toe box allows toes to spread. A thin BareFoam layer wraps around the upper for modest extra protection without turning this into a conventional cushioned trainer. The tyre-inspired FeelTrue rubber outsole is intended to grip paved surfaces and occasional easy off-road sections. Xero quotes approximately 8.3 oz (235 g) for a men's US 9; the Australian distributor lists an approximately 9 mm multi-layer sole.

The main strengths are flexibility, low stack and a roomy forefoot. Minimal cushioning and zero drop can require gradual adaptation, particularly for runners accustomed to supportive, high-stack shoes. This is not a technical trail shoe. Xero recommends your usual size, but check the regional size chart and returns policy.
