Event Detail
The 11th Grand Wuyi Trail Race 2026 is an established mountain-running festival in Wuyishan, Fujian, China. Its public race days are Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November, with activities beginning on 27 November. The courses explore Wuyi Mountain's World Heritage landscape, known for dramatic red cliffs, forest trails, river valleys and tea-growing heritage. The 2026 event takes place alongside the Asia Pacific Trail Running Championships, but Grand Wuyi is a separately registered public event, not another entry for the elite regional championships.
Courses and start times
The organiser advertises six races, with actual distances sometimes different from their rounded category names. The 100K measures 100.05 km with 4,343 m of climbing and a 30-hour limit, starting Saturday at 05:00. The 60K measures 62.66 km, climbs 2,726 m and starts Saturday at 06:00, with a 17-hour limit. The 35K measures 34.27 km, climbs 1,512 m and starts Sunday at 05:30, with a 12-hour limit.
The advertised 20K actually measures 21.95 km and climbs 680 m, starting Sunday at 07:00 with a 7.5-hour limit. Both 10K courses measure approximately 9.42 km, climbing 340 m. The adult run starts Saturday at 13:00, with the youth run on Sunday at 09:00. All times are local China Standard Time (UTC+8), subject to final organiser confirmation.
Entry and race-week planning
The venue is Yueying Wuyi Theatre in the Sangu Resort area, serving as the published start and finish location. This is a technical trail event, with substantial climbing in the longer races rather than a flat road-run experience. The 100K and 60K require documented previous long-distance completions, while 35K entrants also have a qualifying-run requirement. The youth category is for ages 8–15 with guardian conditions, including accompaniment for younger children.
The linked registration provider currently labels all categories closed, including sold-out long races. Published entry fees include CNY 1,298 for 100K, 858 for 60K, 558 for 35K, 398 for 20K, 268 for the adult 10K and 298 for the youth 10K. Do not assume late places are available. Check the organiser's final route, bib-collection, mandatory equipment and medical-support instructions before travelling. ARC does not currently offer exact structured distance options for the 60K and 35K, so those remain described here without inaccurate filter tags.
