Event Detail
The 2026 Hisun Isojoy Taizhou Marathon (2026海正伊索佳台州马拉松) brings road racing back to Jiaojiang District in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, on Sunday 15 November 2026. The event began in Jiaojiang in 2015, moved its start area to Huangyan for the 2023 and 2024 editions, and now returns to its earlier home. This is the Zhejiang Taizhou race, not the separately organised marathon in Taizhou, Jiangsu.
Races and course
The organiser confirms 12,000 places across two events: 4,000 for the 42.195 km marathon and 8,000 for the 21.0975 km half marathon. Both races start at 08:00 China Standard Time from Taizhou Sports Centre in Jiaojiang; the event is advertised as finishing at the same venue. A detailed street-by-street route has not yet been confirmed in the official registration guidance, so participants should consult the organiser's subsequent course map and final athlete handbook rather than relying on earlier-edition routes.
Entry requirements
Ordinary entries ran from 15 September 2026 at 10:00 until 30 September at 17:00 China time, subject to the field filling first; that entry window has now closed. The advertised entry charges were CNY 150 for the full marathon and CNY 100 for the half marathon. The marathon's minimum age is 20 on race day under the organiser's birth-date rule, and the half marathon's is 18. Applicants are required to provide acceptable recent distance-race results, with more demanding qualifying history for the full marathon. Older participants may be asked for additional medical or family acknowledgement documents. Final eligibility and disqualification conditions are governed by the official rules, not informal race listings.
Preparing for race day
The organiser welcomes eligible mainland Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwanese and overseas runners with suitable identity documents. Bring the same identity document used for registration and review the race handbook for bib collection, transport, bag storage, water stations, start corrals, cut-off times and other details as these become available. Course maps, race-pack pickup hours and any updates to traffic restrictions should be checked directly with the organiser. Competition rules prohibit transferring a bib to another runner. Registrations accepted under the published terms are generally not refundable or transferable.
Note: Taizhou Sports Centre coordinates in the listing identify the venue vicinity, not an exact corral or gate. The English title includes sponsor and location to distinguish the event from similarly named marathons.
Confirmed race-day procedures
The official competition rules specify start-area check-in from 06:00 to 07:45, with runners required to present their valid bib and timing chip in the designated corral. Competitors who enter a different start zone can be disqualified. The event uses chip timing for both distances, with checkpoints on the course. Bag drop closes at 07:45, and the organiser requires runners to retrieve their bags before 15:00. Entrants should keep valuables with them rather than in checked bags. The official race rules also specify regular drinks stations and medical and safety arrangements. Bibs must be collected in person once the organiser announces pickup details; proxy collection is not permitted.
