2026 Nanchang Ganjiang Half Marathon

The 2026 Nanchang Ganjiang Half Marathon (南昌赣江半程马拉松) is a major 20,000-runner road race in Nanchang's Ganjiang New Area, Jiangxi province, China. The 21.0975 km event starts at 7:30 am on Sunday 1 November 2026, China Standard Time (UTC+8). This is a separate race from the Nanchang Marathon held later in November.

Course

The organiser's route starts and finishes on Jianye Avenue and passes Jinshui Avenue, Rule Avenue, Wanhe Road, Renmin Avenue, Minxin Avenue, Tongxian West Road and Minhe Avenue. The course travels through riverside and lakeside sections of the Ganjiang New Area, including newer business districts. Compared with 2025, organisers report fewer bends, smoother surfaces and less climbing, making this a potentially fast half marathon. The precise route is subject to final athletics measurement.

Entry and race format

The event offers only the half marathon, with a published entry fee of CNY 150. Applications closed on 29 September 2026, and places were subject to a ballot if demand exceeded 20,000. Entrants must be 18 or older and provide documented distance-running experience from the preceding 24 months, as specified in the race regulations. The entry fee includes a race shirt, a bib with timing chip, course supplies and event insurance. Do not assume any late entries are available; check the organiser's official channels.

Practical details

Bib checks and corral entry run from 6:00 to 7:15 am on race morning. Bag deposit operates from 6:00 to 7:10 am, with retrieval closing at 11:30 am. The half-marathon cutoff is three hours after the appropriate starting gun, with intermediate checkpoints. Drinking and food stations are listed along the course, along with medical response support.
