C&D Xiamen Marathon 2027

C&D Xiamen Marathon 2027 is Xiamen's flagship road race and one of Asia's major international marathons. The race returns on 10 January 2027 with a marathon-only field of 35,000 runners. The event is operated under World Athletics Label Road Race rules and Chinese Athletics Association regulations, and current race information identifies it as a World Athletics Platinum Label event.

The 42.195 km course starts and finishes at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center in Siming District. From the exhibition centre, runners move onto Huandao East Road and Huandao South Road, cross Yanwu Bridge and continue along Lujiang Road before using turning sections on Hubin South Road and Hubin West Road. The return leg again uses Lujiang Road, Yanwu Bridge and the island-ring roads before heading back to the exhibition centre. The route is strongly coastal, with sections overlooking the sea and Gulangyu, and the 2027 layout restores more running on Huandao East Road.

Public entry uses a pre-registration and ballot system. The current application window runs from 23 September to 14 October 2026, with ballot results due on 22 October. Successful applicants must complete payment within the organiser's confirmation window, while a reserve process continues afterwards. The 2027 regulations also provide 10,000 XQ performance-based direct-entry places. Entrants must be at least 20 years old by 1 January 2027 and meet the organiser's recent-distance experience requirements.

Race timing uses a disposable chip supplied with the bib, with timing mats at the start, every 5 km, the half-marathon point, turning points and the finish. Runners with a valid net finish within six hours can download their result certificate after the race. Baggage collection is scheduled to remain available until 14:30 on race day. Medical stations are planned at the start, every 2.5 km and the finish, with AED support along the course. Detailed drinks and nutrition-station placement will be published in the final race handbook.

The organiser has not yet published the 2027 race-pack collection schedule and venue. Wave arrangements are also due in a supplementary race notice, so entrants should check the official Xiamen Marathon website closer to race week for the final collection, access and start-zone instructions.
