Event Detail

The 2026 Hangzhou Qiantang Women's Half Marathon returns on Sunday 8 November 2026 to Qiantang District in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Promoted as China's World Athletics Label women's half marathon, the event has a 10,000-runner field and a 07:00 flag-off (China Standard Time, UTC+8). This edition has a single 21.0975K women's half-marathon category; do not confuse it with the separate Hangzhou Marathon or with mini/family distances offered in some earlier editions.

Course, timing and race-day operations

The organisers specify a start and finish at the junction of No. 6 Street and No. 27 Street (6号大街与27号大街交叉口). The published course follows No. 6 Street towards Zhijiang East Road, then continues along the Qiantang River corridor with turnarounds near No. 11 Street and Xueyuan Street before returning to the starting junction. It is a fully road-based course, with electronic chip timing and timing mats at the start, 5K intervals, turnaround points and finish. Runners must pass the checkpoint mats and wear their race bibs visibly. The three-hour overall cut-off is 10:00; intermediate closure points occur at 5K (07:55), 10K (08:30), 15K (09:10) and 20K (09:30). Roads reopen after the official cut-offs.

Eligibility and registration status

The official cooperating registration platform currently marks the 2026 race closed. Registration was announced for 22 July to 14 October 2026 at 12:00, with places first-come, first-served at CNY 160. Entry is restricted to women aged at least 18 under the organiser's 1 January age rule. Applicants must have recorded two races of at least 10K in the 24 months before registration closed, subject to official verification. Entries are non-transferable and normally non-refundable once qualification is confirmed. Do not attempt registration via unofficial resellers.

Bib collection and logistics

Official race-pack collection is scheduled for 5 November 13:00–20:00, 6 November 10:00–20:00 and 7 November 10:00–21:00 (local time). The registration regulations state that the collection venue will be separately announced; there is no postal delivery, proxy collection or race-day collection. Bring the original identity document used to register. Race-morning baggage deposit runs 05:45–06:50, and collection after the race ends at 10:30. Only runners who pass all timing points are eligible for a valid finishing classification.

Prizes, race support and finishers

The organiser's 2026 regulations award cash to the first six women by gun time: CNY 20,000, 15,000, 12,500, 10,000, 7,500 and 5,000 respectively. The top three also receive a trophy and medal.
