Event Detail

The Huate Magnetic Cup 2026 Linqu Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 1 November 2026 in Linqu County, Weifang, Shandong Province. It is the Weifang stop of the Shandong Provincial Marathon League and has been promoted as a China Athletics Association Class B event. The organisers planned a field of 10,000 runners; a county briefing in mid-October reported nearly 8,000 accepted participants. This edition offers a half marathon only, rather than separate 5K, 10K and full-marathon races.

Course and scenery

The race starts and finishes at Linqu County Sports Centre. The published route uses Xinglong Road, Binhe West Road, Qushan Road, Minzhu Road, Xizhu Bridge and Binhe East Road, with a turnaround near Yishan Road. It connects the Mi River ecological corridor with Linqu Cultural Park, Tongxin Wetland Park and Qushan Park. The organiser describes a relatively flat and open urban course, attractive for runners aiming to maintain an even pace.

The morning race is scheduled to start at 7:30 am, with the published competition window ending at 10:30 am, giving half-marathon participants a three-hour race period. Check the latest organiser instructions for starting corrals, road access and any revised course arrangements.

Who can run

The official participation rules require half-marathon entrants to be at least 18 and younger than 65 according to the organiser's stated birth-date cut-offs. Applicants must also show results from two races of at least 10 km during the 24 months before the entry deadline. There is no separate elite category, and racing prams and racing wheelchairs are prohibited under the published competition rules. Entrants should consult those rules and assess their suitability for endurance running before taking part.

Preparing for race weekend

Ordinary registration has closed, and places were subject to a ballot when applications exceeded capacity. Accepted runners can consult the official 临朐马拉松 WeChat account for bib numbers and collection instructions. Race-pack collection is on 30 and 31 October, in person with original identification, at a location to be announced by the organising committee. Collection is not available on race morning. Travelling runners should plan accommodation and transport around the early start and possible traffic controls near the sports centre.

Race Pack Information

Collect bibs in person on 30 Oct, 10:00-18:00, or 31 Oct, 10:00-19:00, local China time. Bring original ID. Organisers will confirm collection address via official WeChat.
