Event Detail
The 2026 Luocheng Half Marathon (2026罗城半程马拉松) takes place on Sunday 8 November 2026 in Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County, Hechi, Guangxi, southern China. The organiser's current-edition registration partner confirms a 07:30 China Standard Time (UTC+8) start from Ethnic Culture Square (民族文化广场) and a single competitive 21.0975 km half-marathon category. This is a road race focused on the county's dramatic karst landscape and Mulao cultural heritage, rather than a multi-distance running festival.
A distinctively Guangxi running experience
The organiser promotes the route as a meeting of towering limestone peaks, lakes, waterways and autumn farmland. The half-marathon course is described as linking town streets with more open countryside, giving runners views of rural landscapes as well as the settlement itself. Luocheng is China's only Mulao autonomous county, and its cultural character is a central part of the race's identity. This makes the event especially interesting to runners who enjoy a destination race with a strong sense of place, rather than a conventional big-city loop.
The current promotional text describes the local scenery and general style of the route, but it does not publish a final turn-by-turn 2026 course map, road-closure plan, elevation profile or independently verified finish-line location. Accordingly, the map coordinates in this ARC listing are approximate to Luocheng's township area, not a surveyed starting line or finish line. Participants should consult the race's final technical guide before making travel arrangements.
Entries and eligibility
The announced field is limited to 4,200 runners, and the organiser uses first-come, first-served registration with no ballot. Entry costs CNY 120 for the sole half-marathon category. The current-edition registration partner advertises Sunday 1 November 2026 at 18:00 CST as the entry deadline, or earlier if all places are taken. As checked on 24 October, the registration page still labels the event open; this is not a promise that a bib will remain available.
The organiser says it has applied for Chinese Athletics Association A-class recognition for 2026. This is not the same as a confirmed 2026 accreditation: the association's determination should be verified separately. Do not confuse the application with accreditation granted to an earlier Luocheng edition.
Race-day preparation
With an early 07:30 start, runners travelling from outside Luocheng should plan to be in the area the night before and allow time to reach Ethnic Culture Square. The advertised competition distance is 21.0975 km, not a 21K fun run. The current source has not yet established the 2026 cut-off time, timing method, age or qualifying requirements, aid-station plan, prize allocations, race-pack pickup dates or specific compulsory documents. No previous-year procedures have been copied into this listing.
For updates, the registration partner names the official WeChat account 罗城半程马拉松, the 第一赛道 app, the organiser email luocheng@gustomail.cn, and the race's official site. Importantly, the official site was still showing 2025 information during this check; use the 2026 entry listing for the confirmed current-edition date, fee, distance and closing time.
