Event Detail
The Shanghai Fengxian Haiwan Forest Half Marathon 2026 brings 4,000 runners to the southern edge of Shanghai for a 21.0975 km road race combining the autumn scenery of Haiwan National Forest Park with surrounding coastal roads. The event takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026, starting at 9:00 am China Standard Time at Gate 1 of the forest park, No. 1677 Suitanghe Road, Fengxian District. The official race window runs until noon.
Course and race-day experience
The current-edition course leaves Gate 1 for Suitanghe Road and Sihai Road, then passes through the coastal road network before re-entering the park at its western gate. The final kilometres wind through the park's Meiyuan, Linxiang and Xiangzhang roads, with the finish on the park's main lawn. That mix of broad coastal roads and wooded parkland is the race's distinctive attraction; it is a point-to-point-style loop with a different start and finish location inside the park.
The organiser's published plan has a three-hour overall time limit, with intermediate cut-offs at approximately 5, 10, 15 and 20 kilometres. Refreshment points are planned at 2.5 km intervals from the 5 km mark, including drinking water and energy replenishment at selected stations. Follow the final race guide for any updates to closures, service arrangements and course details.
Eligibility and entries
The race offers men's and women's half-marathon classifications, and entrants must meet the published age and recent-racing experience criteria. The 2026 requirements include two finishes of at least 10 km within the previous 24 months, alongside the organiser's age conditions. Registration was offered through the official WeChat account “奉贤海湾森林半程马拉松”, from 18 August to 17 September 2026, with places assigned by lottery. The advertised entry fee was CNY 150 per runner; that registration window has now closed.
Planning your visit
The Fengxian district's event plan proposes bib collection on 27–28 November, with Fengxian Sports Centre mentioned as a provisional pickup location. Treat that location as unconfirmed until the organiser publishes final collection instructions. The plan also includes pre-race bag drop and post-race collection near the lawn area. The 2025 race received Chinese Athletics Association Class B recognition; the 2026 edition has applied for its own Class B certification, which should not be assumed already granted.

Confirmed entry deadline and provisional race-pack collection
The Fengxian district government's 25 August 2026 race notice specifies that the original 2026 lottery registration window closed at 18:00 China Standard Time on 17 September 2026. This is the original entry-window deadline, not an announcement about any later transfer or supplementary entry opportunities.
The district's detailed 2026 organising plan proposes race-pack collection on 27–28 November, 09:00–16:30, provisionally at Fengxian Sports Centre. The plan says runners should bring identification and complete the relevant participation and safety declaration. As this is a proposed arrangement, the final collection venue and hours must be confirmed from the organiser's subsequent participant guide rather than treated as guaranteed. The planned race-day cut-offs are 09:50 at 5 km, 10:30 at 10 km, 11:10 at 15 km, 11:50 at 20 km and noon at the finish, subject to final published rules.
