The 2026 Zhuji Xishi Half Marathon returns to Zhuji in Zhejiang Province on Sunday 15 November, starting at 7:30 am China Standard Time. The event is designed around a single 21.0975 km road-racing distance and advertises capacity for 12,000 runners. Its name honours Xishi, the celebrated historical figure associated with Zhuji, while the modern course runs through the city's streets and civic spaces.
A fast, scenic half marathon
The organiser promotes a relatively flat course with around 37 metres of cumulative climbing, wide roads and smooth turns. From the north side of Xishi Basketball Centre, the route uses Huancheng North Road, Xijiang Bridge, the Guojia interchange and Dongjiang Bridge before following Huancheng East Road and Dong'er Road. Participants pass the city park area and turn near Xishi Grand Theatre before returning towards the start/finish complex. The final race route remains subject to the organiser's formal notices.
One visually distinctive section is the ginkgo-lined avenue, a reminder that this is not simply a generic city-loop race. The advertised modest elevation gain may appeal to runners seeking a controlled half-marathon effort, although weather, traffic arrangements and final course certification should be checked independently rather than assumed.
Registration, entry and logistics
The general advertised entry fee was CNY 120. Registration ran from 12 August at 10:00 am until 8 October 2026 at 5:00 pm, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis rather than a ballot. Registration is now closed; the entry platform should be consulted for official changes, not presumed to have spare places.
The published competition regulations specify race-day check-in from 5:30 am to 7:15 am and require runners to reach their assigned assembly area well before the start. Make time for early travel to the Xishi Basketball Centre, particularly if access roads close. Check the organiser's latest participant handbook for bib collection, bag storage, pacer groups and confirmed start pens. Zhuji offers a distinctive combination of local heritage, a sizeable organised field and a potentially quick half-marathon route.
