Event Detail
The AVOHK Reservoir Series 2026 concludes with a 7 km cross-country run around Shing Mun Reservoir in Tsuen Wan, New Territories, on Saturday 14 November 2026. The organiser, Athletics Veterans of Hong Kong (AVOHK), confirms an 8:30am Hong Kong-time start.
The reservoir course winds through the wooded hills and service roads of Shing Mun Country Park. Runners should expect a scenic, uneven country-park course rather than a flat urban 7K. The final race follows September's 12K Aberdeen Reservoir round and November's 11K Tai Tam round.
Competition format: Separate men's and women's age groups start with Open (16–34), followed by 35–39 and five-year veterans' groups through 80+. Individual race medals are presented to the top three finishers in each division. Overall series standings use each runner's best two of the three reservoir races, so participants need to finish at least two rounds to qualify for series awards. Race-day bib collection is available, and participants who entered several rounds reuse the same bib.
The final organiser instructions and route map should be checked before travelling. Shing Mun Reservoir is reached from Tsuen Wan by green minibus 82 towards the Shing Mun Reservoir/Pineapple Dam area; allow extra time for walking to the assembly point. The map pin is an approximate reservoir reference, not a surveyed starting mat location.
