SBI Green Marathon Season 7 Bengaluru 2027

The SBI Green Marathon Season 7 comes to Bengaluru on Sunday, 31 January 2027. Part of a 17-city Indian running series led by State Bank of India with Mirchi, this stop combines an early-morning road race on NICE Road with a practical message about reducing waste and making sport more environmentally responsible. Runners can compete over the half marathon or 10K, while families and newcomers can take on the non-timed 5K.

Race morning

The organiser's published Bengaluru schedule sets the half marathon flag-off for 5:00 am, followed by the timed 10K at 6:00 am and non-timed 5K at 7:00 am, all in Indian Standard Time. The race hub is listed at NICE Road Toll Plaza, Bengaluru; entrants should confirm the precise reporting point, road access and parking details when the final participant guide is issued. The registration operator advises arriving at least one hour before your race.

The half marathon is for runners aged 18 and over and the timed 10K for ages 16 and over. The event's own pages show inconsistent minimum ages for the 5K, so families should check eligibility directly with the organiser before paying. The half marathon and 10K are advertised as AIMS-certified courses, but the organiser has not yet published a confirmed Season 7 route map for Bengaluru. Do not rely on route diagrams bearing the older 30 November 2025 race date.

Greener running

The series promotes organic event shirts, plantable bibs for the 5K, paper hydration cups, waste handling and lower-impact breakfast service. Finishers are promised a bespoke medal; timed entrants can expect an electronic timing certificate. Hydration and refreshments are included in the registration operator's listed entitlements. This is a community-focused road-running event as well as a competitive challenge, with separate timed-race age and gender divisions.

Entries and preparation

The official registration operator lists an online entry deadline of 27 January 2027 at 11:00 am IST, subject to capacity, with 18% GST and a 3% online payment-gateway charge stated on top of the displayed base fees. Entries are described as non-refundable. Check the current amount at checkout and obtain your confirmation before arranging travel. Race-pack collection dates and venue are not yet confirmed; the organiser will need to issue these and the final traffic, safety and course arrangements nearer race day. Follow the race organiser and registration pages for confirmed updates.
