Chandigarh Fast Marathon 2027

The Chandigarh Fast Marathon returns for its fourth edition on 14 February 2027 as a deliberately performance-focused road race for experienced runners. Rather than chasing a huge mass-participation field, the event is built around a flat course, favourable February running conditions and the chance to pursue personal bests and recognised marathon qualifying times. The organiser says 14 runners achieved Boston Marathon qualifying performances at the 2025 edition and another 15 did so in 2026.

Entry is qualification-only. Applicants must provide a valid result from a recognised race dated 15 August 2025 or later. For marathon entry, men need a marathon in 4:00 or faster or a half marathon in 1:55 or faster; women need 4:30 or faster for the marathon or 2:10 or faster for the half. A 10K result does not qualify a runner for the marathon. For half-marathon entry, a qualifying 10K is accepted, with standards of 54 minutes for men and 59 minutes for women.

The current 2027 programme offers the marathon and half marathon, both scheduled for an early-morning start. The official event site identifies the course as World Athletics measured, while current race information describes it as an absolute-flat course designed for fast running. Race support information currently published for the event includes aid stations, medical assistance and pacers for the marathon and half marathon.

Registration is open, with separate entry categories for applicants residing in India and overseas. The current registration window closes on 17 January 2027. The exact 2027 start/finish venue, race-pack collection venue and timetable, race-day cut-offs and current prize schedule have not yet been published, so these details should be checked again closer to race weekend rather than inferred from earlier editions.
