Event Detail
Lokmat MahaMarathon Season 10 visits Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, on Sunday, 13 December 2026, as one stop in the organiser's six-city Maharashtra running circuit. This is the tenth season of the established Lokmat event series, with this city hosting a half marathon alongside shorter timed and recreational races. The programme gives local runners a competitive 21K or 10K target while providing family-friendly 5K and 3K options.
Course and venue
The official start and gathering venue is the Divisional Sports Complex at Garkheda Stadium, near Sutgirni Chowk in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The registration page describes the road route as predominantly flat and accessible, with volunteers, cheerleaders, hydration points and medical personnel along the course. The detailed turn-by-turn maps and any road restrictions should be checked with Lokmat closer to race day, rather than relying on route information from earlier editions. The public event window is listed as 5:00 am to 10:00 am Indian Standard Time, but separate flag-off times for each category have not been confirmed on the registration page.
Racing and eligibility
The 21K half marathon and 10K race use timing chips, while the 5K and 3K are recreational options. The organiser's city information page specifies minimum ages of 18 for 21K, 16 for 10K, 14 for 5K and 12 for 3K. In the timed 10K and 21K, the published awards groups are Open (18–35 years), Neo Veteran (36–45 years) and Veteran (46+). At least ten eligible entrants are required for an age group to open; otherwise the organiser may move runners to another relevant category. Lokmat advertises prizes and winner trophies, but entrants should consult the final city-specific awards schedule for exact entitlement.
Race packs and participant planning
The online entry descriptions show T-shirts, goodie bags, medals and breakfast for all four distances, with timing chips and finisher e-certificates specifically advertised for 10K and 21K. The 3K and 5K ticket descriptions also mention e-certificates. The official Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar page places the pre-race MahaMarathon Expo at Lokmat Bhavan, Jalna Road, generally for bib and goodie-bag collection on the day before the run; exact collection hours should be confirmed when released.
Registrations are available through the organiser's Eventforce page. Under its published refund policy, registration cancellations made at least 30 days before the event may be eligible for a fee refund, excluding platform charges. Later cancellations are not normally refundable. Out-of-town runners should book travel with the Garkheda assembly point and early-morning road arrangements in mind.
