Sarmang Dehradun Marathon 2026

The fifth Sarmang Dehradun Marathon takes place in Dehradun on 4 October 2026, using the International Cricket Stadium on Thano Road in Raipur as its race hub. The programme spans a new 51K ultra, the 42.195K marathon, 21.0975K half marathon, 10K, 5K and 2K fun run. Current registration material identifies the event as an AIMS associate member and states that the 51K, marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K courses are measured and certified by World Athletics. The 2026 marathon is also listed as a qualifying race in the Abbott World Marathon Majors Wanda Age Group World Rankings.

The 51K is new for 2026. A fresh organiser update on 29 September sets its start at 04:00 local time and tells ultra runners to use a headlamp and reflective clothing because the opening kilometres are before daylight. Published starts for the other races are 05:00 for the marathon, 05:30 for the half marathon, 06:00 for the 10K, 07:00 for the 5K and 07:15 for the 2K.

Published cut-offs are eight hours for the 51K, 6 hours 30 minutes for the marathon, 3 hours 15 minutes for the half marathon, 2 hours 15 minutes for the 10K and 1 hour 30 minutes for the 5K. The road races are staged in the Doon Valley at the Himalayan foothills, with the stadium functioning as the reporting and event precinct. Current organiser material also confirms hydration and medical support across the race programme.

Race bib collection is scheduled for 3 October from 13:00 to 18:00 at the International Cricket Stadium. The latest official race-week guidance asks entrants to check their category and start time, plan travel to the stadium, prepare race equipment in advance and prioritise hydration and rest.
