SBI Green Marathon Season 7 - Patna 2026

SBI Green Marathon Season 7 - Patna takes place on Sunday 25 October 2026 at Gandhi Maidan, in Bihar's capital. This is the Patna round of a 17-city Indian running programme presented by the State Bank of India in collaboration with Mirchi. Its combination of timed road racing, shorter participation running and environmental initiatives gives runners an option beyond a conventional race day.

Race distances and start times

The official Patna race information confirms three separate starts, all in India Standard Time (UTC+5:30):

• Half marathon (21.1 km): 5:00 am, a timed event for participants aged 18 and over.
• 10 km: 6:00 am, a timed event with a minimum age of 16.
• 5 km: 7:00 am, a non-timed participation run. The official city race table specifies ages 10 and over.

The organiser describes its half-marathon and 10K routes as AIMS-certified. Men's and women's age brackets are specified for the timed races, including masters categories. Follow the designated course and marshals; do not assume the illustrated route from a previous season will remain unchanged.

An environmentally conscious running event

The season's emphasis is on reducing event waste and encouraging more sustainable habits. Promoted measures include organic race T-shirts, plantable bibs for 5K participants, paper cups, organised waste management and more environmentally conscious breakfast packaging. Patna combines those initiatives with a gathering at Gandhi Maidan, the city's major historic public ground.

Registration and runner entitlements

The organiser links directly to its authorised RACES registration portal. A current Patna registration listing advertises ₹1,200 for the half marathon, ₹900 for 10K and ₹700 for 5K, although the final checkout total may differ with taxes or payment charges. The ticket provider describes a finisher medal for finishers, timing certificates for timed categories, route hydration and post-run refreshments. An alternative booking partner indicates a registration cut-off of 21 October at 11:00 am IST; treat that as platform-specific and confirm entry availability before paying.

The organiser lists age-group prizes in the timed races. Runners should check the final award conditions and bring identification for registration or bib collection. Exact race-pack distribution hours, course access arrangements and road closures should be confirmed through official channels before travelling.
