Event Detail

Yavatmal Health Marathon returns for its fifth edition on Sunday, 3 January 2027, continuing a community running event that began in 2023. Organised by Cotton City Runners Foundation, the race has grown from about 1,700 participants at its first edition to approximately 2,800 runners in 2026, bringing together competitive runners, families, children and local fitness groups in Yavatmal, Maharashtra.

The 2027 programme includes a 21K Half Marathon, 10K Power Run, separate 5K Fitness and Children's runs, and a 3K Family / Fun Run. The Half Marathon starts at 6:00 AM, followed by the 10K at 6:30 AM, 5K Fitness at 6:40 AM, 5K Children's Run at 6:50 AM and 3K Fun Run at 7:00 AM. The 21K, 10K and 5K routes are published as certified measured courses, with all races based at Nehru Stadium on Godhani Road.

The event is designed to be accessible across age groups while retaining competitive divisions. The 21K and 10K require runners to be at least 18, the 5K Fitness Run is for ages 15 and above, and the Children's 5K is for under-15s. Cash prizes are offered across the competitive categories, while the 3K is an open family event without cash prizes.

Race-kit collection takes place at Nehru Stadium on Saturday, 2 January from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is no race-day bib collection, and participants must bring their registration confirmation and valid photo ID. Race-day support includes hydration points, medical assistance and a recovery area. The organiser also provides free 12-week training plans for the 21K, 10K and 5K distances.
