This is the past 2026 edition.
2026 Results & Race Recap
The ninth Janda Baik Ultra took place on 16–17 May 2026 in the wooded hills around Janda Baik, Bentong, Pahang. Its 14K, 30K, 50K, 75K and 100K courses offered a wide progression from trail racing into endurance ultramarathons. The venue was 101 Resort, and published results confirm the 2026 edition took place.
50K results
Men's winner: Mohamad Amierul Amin Shamsul Kamal — 6:13:34.
Men's runner-up: Adam Danial Zailani — 6:16:09.
Third overall: Daniel Yap Chun Mun — 6:27:21.
The UTMB Index lists 457 50K results. The ultrarunning database DUV separately records 457 finishers (360 men, 97 women) for the distance. The advertised 50K course had around 2,298 metres of elevation gain according to UTMB Index, so finish times should not be compared directly with road 50K races.
75K and 100K results
75K men's winner: Arif Mazlan — 15:55:57. DUV records 51 finishers (42 men, nine women) in this distance.
100K men's winner: Mohamad Syahmim Nazmy — 17:18:20. DUV records 86 finishers (70 men, 16 women). Aminur Assrul followed in 18:23:56, with Johari Mohd Ali third in 19:02:45.
The recorded 50K, 75K and 100K finishes cannot simply be treated as the whole event's turnout: the 14K and 30K categories were also held, and reported attendance estimates are not confirmed finishers. Tourism Pahang's approximately 1,500 participants was a pre-event expectation, not a verified final number.
The setting and race experience
Janda Baik is a rainforest and hill-running destination in Bentong district, a short drive from Kuala Lumpur. Its climbs, humid trails and longer time-on-feet distinguish these courses from city marathons. The event's range of distances appeals to both newcomers and experienced ultrarunners. The published results highlight close racing in the men's 50K: only 2 minutes 35 seconds separated the first two runners.
