Capy Strides for Cancer Awareness 2026

Capy Strides for Cancer Awareness 2026 is a community run and walk in central Kuala Lumpur designed to bring people together around cancer awareness, encouragement and support. Its playful capybara theme uses gentle colours and a relaxed, welcoming approach rather than presenting the morning as an elite competition. Participants may take part in honour of a survivor, in memory of someone affected by cancer, or simply to show solidarity.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, 18 October 2026 at Dataran DBKL, the square beside Kuala Lumpur City Hall on Jalan Raja Laut. The published flag-off is 7:00am Malaysian time, with an 8:30am cut-off, giving participants a 90-minute event window. There are two advertised choices: a 7km run and a 3km walk, with adult and junior registration packages. A precise route map and any separate start waves have not been confirmed in the accessible current-edition information, so runners should follow organiser instructions on the day.

Three registration package levels are available for both distances. The Petal Pack includes a bib and medal; the Bloom Pack adds an event T-shirt; and the Blossom Pack adds a tote bag as well. Standard advertised package prices are RM34, RM54 and RM74 respectively, excluding applicable administration charges. Participants should check their chosen package carefully rather than assume every entrant receives a shirt or tote bag.

Registration opened on 4 September and is scheduled to close on 13 October 2026. The organiser identifies itself as Tenacore Technology Sdn Bhd. As the venue is in central Kuala Lumpur, runners should allow time for morning traffic arrangements and confirm the assembly point, collection instructions and any updated schedule before travelling. Race-pack collection arrangements, prize details and route-specific support have not been established from the available current-edition information.
