Larian Warisan Alam Karnival Ban Canal 2026

Larian Warisan Alam Karnival Ban Canal 2026 is a 5K heritage-themed community run in the rice-growing countryside of Sabak Bernam, Selangor. It forms part of the three-day Karnival Ban Canal, held from 6 to 8 November, which celebrates local nature, culture, agriculture and sustainable tourism. Unlike a city road race, the appeal here is the rural setting and the opportunity to experience a festival rooted in the area's farming and fishing traditions.

The official 2026 route map places the start and finish near Masjid Al-Khairiah on Jalan Parit 14, Simpang Lima. The mapped circuit follows Jalan Terusan Utama, Jalan Parit 13 Sungai Nibong and Jalan Ban 2 Kampung Tali Air 13 before returning towards Jalan Parit 14. Water and fruit symbols appear on the organiser's map, but runners should check final on-course arrangements with the event team. The advertised flag-off is 7:30am Malaysian time on Saturday, 7 November.

The organiser encourages participants to dress to a farmer or fisherman theme, linking the run to the region's heritage. The current-edition poster advertises more than 50 lucky-draw prizes and RM150 awards for the best themed outfits in three groups: adult men, adult women and children. The event artwork also shows a race bib, event shirt and 5K finisher medal.

Important for travelling runners: Race-pack collection is scheduled for Friday, 6 November, from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Pejabat Pertanian Daerah Sabak Bernam on Jalan Parit 4 Timur. The organiser explicitly warns that kits cannot be collected after this session. Registration is advertised to close on 11 October 2026, with normal entry priced at RM39.90 and an earlier RM35.90 allocation for the first 300 registrations. The organiser states that payments are non-refundable.

The wider carnival includes cultural performances, food and community activities. The run's own participant numbers for 2026 have not been published; earlier editions of the festival attracted substantial local participation.
