Pantai Malindo Half Marathon 2027

Pantai Malindo Half Marathon 2027 returns to Balik Pulau for its third edition on Sunday, 31 January 2027. Howei's retrospective of the inaugural 2025 race records more than 200 runners, while the current 2027 event is capped at 1,000 participants, reflecting the event's growth over its first three editions.

The race is based at SJK (C) Yu Chye in Kuala Sungai Pinang and uses the quiet Pantai Malindo area on the western side of Penang Island. Organiser material describes flat, freshly paved and relatively low-traffic roads through a coastal and agricultural landscape with mangrove areas, rural villages and greenery near the Balik Pulau Forest Reserve. A central bridge is a notable feature of the longer course, and the terrain is designed for steady, fast road running rather than technical climbing.

The 21K starts at 05:00 MYT and has a 3 hour 30 minute cut-off, closing at 08:30. The 10K starts at 06:30 and has a two-hour limit, also closing at 08:30. Timing chips are included for participants.

Race-pack collection is scheduled for Saturday, 30 January from 10:00 to 17:00 at Decathlon, Gurney Paragon in George Town. Registration is due to close on 15 December 2026, or earlier if all 1,000 places are filled.
