Sunset Colour Run 2026

Sunset Colour Run 2026 brings a colourful evening fun run to Tasik Ilmu at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia's Johor Bahru campus on Sunday, 13 December. Promoted as UTM JB's first Sunset Colour Run, it is a community-oriented 3 km event rather than a timed road race or half marathon. The organisers advertise a sunset atmosphere and colour powder as part of the participant experience.

The JomRun event page lists 4:30 pm as the event time, while its detailed itinerary specifies a 6:00 pm flag-off. ARC therefore records the running start as 6:00 pm Malaysia time; participants should plan to arrive earlier for registration, assembly and any pre-run activities. The advertised gathering area is Tasik Ilmu, the campus lake. The map location is approximate to the lake rather than a confirmed starting arch.

The published participant package includes an event T-shirt, race bib, finisher medal, colour powder and e-certificate. The medal and shirt designs are shown on the current-edition registration page, which also includes an event itinerary and route-map graphic. The organiser has not confirmed chip timing, competitive age divisions, cash prizes or a formal course cut-off, so this listing does not assume any of those features.

Registration closes at 11:59 pm MYT on 9 December 2026. The organiser has not yet announced the race-pack collection date, hours or venue. Registered runners should check the official JomRun listing and the event's advertised @runsociety.my social channel for updated collection instructions, final assembly arrangements and any changes to the evening programme. The event is held on UTM's Skudai campus, outside central Johor Bahru, so allow time to reach the correct university entrance and find the lakeside gathering point.
