Age Friendly Run by Samitivej Bangkok 2026

Age Friendly Run by Samitivej 2026, also known as Wing La Young (the third edition), brings older runners, families and first-timers together at Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital in Bangkok on Sunday 13 December. The hospital is turning its grounds into a starting point for an accessible morning of movement, alongside road races for those wanting a timed challenge. Healthcare staff, including more than 100 participating doctors and nurses, form part of the event's distinctive focus on safe, confident activity for people of different ages and abilities.

Choose your run

• 1K community walk/run: Non-competitive activities within the hospital grounds, including opportunities for older participants and wheelchair users.
• 3K community walk/run: A gentle, non-competitive outing from the hospital via Rama IX Road and back towards Srinakarin Road.
• 5K competitive run: The advertised route follows Srinakarin Road, Hua Mak Road, Soi Hua Mak 21 and Rama IX Road before returning to the hospital.
• 10K competitive run: An extended road route via Srinakarin and Hua Mak Roads and the Sports Authority of Thailand precinct, then back to Samitivej.

The 5K and 10K divisions include age groups 50–59, 60–69 and 70+, making this an appealing event for masters runners. The organisers also promote wearable-device health consultations and information about fitness, bone and muscle assessments. • 04:50: Opening ceremony.
• 05:00: 10K start.
• 05:10: 5K start.
• 05:20: 3K start.

• 07:00: Course cut-off; event scheduled to close at 07:30.

The event supports healthy ageing and contributes part of its proceeds to the Samitivej New Life Fund, which assists children needing treatment for serious conditions, and to the Sports Medicine Association of Thailand. Participants should be fit for their chosen distance, follow marshals and medical staff, and keep the course clean.

The listed standard entry is THB 700 for any distance. An optional THB 3,000 VIP tier and a THB 1,000 two-person package (at least one entrant aged 50 or above) are also advertised.
