Event Detail

Ruammit Ultra Trail 2026 brings mountain and forest running to Ban Ruammit in Mae Yao, Chiang Rai, on Sunday 8 November. The event is organised by BigBlue and offers a notably steep 50 km trail ultra alongside 35 km, 12 km and 3 km courses. The registration and organiser artwork identify Ban Ruammit School as both the start and finish venue. Race-kit collection takes place the previous day, Saturday 7 November.

Distances and course demands

The official course information lists RMUT50 (50 km) with about 2,534 metres of ascent and descent and a 14-hour cut-off. RMUT35 (35 km) has approximately 1,728 metres of climbing and a 10-hour cut-off. The shorter RMUT12 (12 km) includes around 434 metres of climbing, with a six-hour cut-off. Even the accessible 3 km route has approximately 36 metres of ascent. These are mountain routes rather than city-road races; entrants should prepare for climbs, descents, uneven trails and potentially cool conditions before sunrise. The organiser's published artwork also shows ITRA classifications for the 35 km and 50 km races.

Start times and logistics

The race schedule for 8 November gives local Thailand starts at 04:00 for 50 km, 06:00 for 35 km, 06:30 for 12 km and 07:00 for 3 km. The 12 km course closes at 12:30, the 35 km at 16:00 and the 50 km at 18:00. Check your race instructions for intermediate checkpoints and any changes.

Race-pack collection is 10:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 7 November at Ban Ruammit School. Runners are required to collect their own bib and complete the mandatory gear check in person; there is no race-day collection. An online race briefing is listed from 17:00 to 18:00 on 7 November.

The organiser's normal individual entry fees were THB 500 for 3 km, THB 1,200 for 12 km, THB 2,500 for 35 km and THB 3,500 for 50 km. Advertised early-registration discounts have expired, and the published general registration period ended on 8 October; do not assume places remain. For any entry transfers or last-minute questions, contact the organiser rather than relying on an older calendar listing.

Ban Ruammit is outside central Chiang Rai, so arrange transport to the school ahead of the early flag-offs. Consult the original ThaiRun registration and the event's official Facebook page for the latest equipment, safety, route and travel instructions.
