Buriram Marathon 2027

Buriram Marathon 2027 is the 11th edition of one of Thailand's largest destination road races, staged as a Saturday-night running festival under the theme Beat the Night, Run the Light. The organiser says the event can accommodate more than 32,000 runners across four races and is using its second decade to push Buriram further as an Asian sports-tourism destination.

Racing begins at Chang International Circuit and finishes at Chang Arena. The current 2027 route map shows the marathon leaving the circuit for a broad tour of Buriram, passing major local landmarks including the King Rama I Monument, Buriram City Pillar Shrine and Huai Chorakhe Mak Reservoir before returning to the stadium precinct. The half marathon follows a shorter city loop, while the 10K and 4.554K Fun Run stay closer to the circuit and arena complex.

The current registration platform lists staggered evening starts: 18:30 for the marathon, 20:00 for the half marathon, 21:00 for the 10K Mini Marathon and 21:45 for the 4.554K Fun Run. Time limits are seven hours, four hours, three hours and two hours respectively. The marathon, half marathon and 10K courses are listed as measured by an IAAF-AIMS Grade A course measurer, while the organiser's 2027 launch material describes the race as meeting World Athletics road-race standards.

Registration opened on-site in Bangkok on 21 July 2026, followed by online entry for returning runners on 25 July and general runners on 26 July. The organiser reported every distance full by 27 July, although returned places briefly re-entered the system afterwards. The current registration platform offers race-pack delivery by EMS for THB 90 or free expo collection; the detailed 2027 expo timetable has not yet been published on the official race site.

Race-day extras announced for 2027 include free real-time professional race photography, 200 BRM 11th-anniversary real-gold cards distributed across the four distances, a mookata coupon for marathon runners who set a new personal best, and a support package to Tokyo Marathon 2028 for the best-performing eligible Thai runners outside the national team.
