Hua Hin Sunset Beach Run 2027 - Khao Tao, Thailand

Hua Hin Sunset Beach Run 2027 brings runners, walkers, families and friends together on the sand at Suan Son Beach, Khao Tao, for an afternoon of coastal running followed by a seaside celebration. Organised by Sports Republic (Thailand), the event starts and finishes at the Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin beach area. The organisers have allocated up to 1,500 registrations across three distances.

Running beside the sea

The 10K Beach Run follows two laps of the 5K beach course, while the 5K completes one lap. Both are competitive races, with overall trophies awarded to the first three men and first three women in each distance. The shorter 3K Family Fun Run uses an out-and-back beach route and welcomes participants who would rather jog, walk or enjoy the outing together. There are no placing awards in the 3K category.

The setting is a distinctive part of this event. Expect a beach-running rather than standard city-road experience, with coastal views around Khao Tao and a late-afternoon start designed to coincide with the sunset atmosphere. Allow extra time for sand underfoot, and follow the organisers' route markings and safety instructions on race day.

Race-day arrangements

The official event schedule lists race-pack collection from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm at Carapace Beach Club on Saturday, 27 February. The Sunset Run begins at 4:00 pm, prize presentations are scheduled for 6:00 pm, and the evening beach-party activities run from 6:15 pm to 9:00 pm. Times are local Thailand time (ICT, UTC+7). The organiser has not published separate flag-off times for each distance on the information reviewed, so participants should follow the final race-day briefing.

Registration and participation

Official registrations are handled through ThaiMaster/ThaiMTB. The entry allowance is 1,500 participants, and the listed closing time is 12 noon on Friday, 26 February 2027, or earlier if places sell out. The published fees exclude an additional 7% processing charge. Each entrant receives an official commemorative T-shirt; finishers who complete their chosen distance receive a finisher medal.

Before travelling, check the official registration page and organiser updates for any changes to weather procedures, race-pack requirements, or the final start arrangements.
