The 361 Degrees Centauri 2 is a neutral road-running trainer designed for regular training, easy-paced runs and everyday mileage. It is aimed at runners seeking a conventional cushioned shoe with a comfortable upper rather than a carbon-plated racing platform.

361 Degrees uses its ENGAGE foam technology in the midsole, which the brand describes as balancing cushioning, durability and energy return. This generation updates the upper and tongue for comfort, with soft nylon gussets intended to keep the tongue in position. The brand says the upper uses yarn containing 50 per cent recycled material. An updated toe spring helps the foot move through the stride. Manufacturer specifications list a 9 mm heel-to-toe drop, 36 mm heel and 27 mm forefoot stack, and a men's reference weight of 9.2 oz (approximately 261 g).

Its strengths are an approachable daily-training purpose, moderate drop and practical upper design. The model is not built as a lightweight race-day shoe or technical trail shoe, and the manufacturer does not describe it as providing dedicated motion-control support. Check the shoe's fit against your usual trainer, allow adequate toe room and review local return terms before purchasing.
