The Komperdell Carbon FXP Ultra is a fixed-length folding pole pair developed for high-performance trail running. Its three-section carbon shafts use a slim 14 mm diameter, while the FXP mechanism lets each pole deploy automatically when released. The Trail Pro Tape grip is shaped for direct control, with replaceable non-slip tape and a spare tape set included.
Komperdell lists the 125 cm version at 167 g with a 45 cm packed length. Sizes run from 105 to 135 cm in 5 cm increments, so runners should select length carefully because this model is not height-adjustable. The Fly Sport strap is designed for quick engagement and power transfer, and the compact folded profile fits conventional pole quivers.
These poles suit steep trail races and ultras where fast deployment and low carried weight matter. The US$299.95 reference price was checked on Komperdell’s official US site on 23 October 2026. Amazon links are exact-model searches, so buyers should confirm they are ordering the Carbon FXP Ultra pair with product family K1942374, not the heavier Composite Trail or higher-priced Erlkönig FXP.
