RELEASED — SELECT MARKETS. Nike announced the Hybrid RN on 3 August 2026, launched it in China on 24 September, and scheduled its wider release for 8 October 2026. Actual colour, size and stock availability vary by country. The men's IV5066-003 colourway has confirmed product listings in Indonesia, Singapore and the US; an Indonesian Blibli offer and Singapore iRUN listing were located during this check. Do not confuse the Hybrid RN with the unreleased, race-oriented Hybrid Fly expected in April 2027.
The Nike Hybrid RN is a newly developed hybrid-training shoe for runners who alternate intervals or treadmill efforts with sled pushes, carries, burpees and strength work. ReactX foam and a forefoot Air Zoom unit aim to provide responsive cushioning while keeping the platform firm enough for gym stations. A wide, rubber-wrapped base, sticky and high-abrasion outsole compounds, reinforced engineered-mesh upper and X-shaped midfoot overlay prioritise grip, secure transitions and lateral support.
This is not a carbon-plated road-racing supershoe or a dedicated marathon trainer. Its relatively substantial build and structured lockdown may be less attractive for long, fast road runs or very wide feet. Nike advises considering half a size up; individual fit can differ. The official Nike US single-pair list price is US$145 (checked 25 October 2026); the official Indonesia page displays Rp2,499,000 for a men's variant. Prices, regional release stages and availability can differ.
What do people say about the Nike Hybrid RN?
Selected authentic customer reviews: 4.25/5 (8 individually attributed Nike-hosted reviews). The strongest recurring feedback concerns stable footing during strength work, dependable grip and enough comfort for short runs or circuit intervals. Ken found the one-shoe approach useful for mixed sessions, while NikePlusUser reported comfort in both gym work and easy running. Customers disagree on fit: johng found his normal size suitable, but several others advised checking length or ordering half a size up.
The trade-off is clear. Timothy rated the shoe 2/5, finding it strong for sleds and lifting but unsatisfactory for running. Other users liked its flexibility and cushioning for shorter sessions, not long-distance road training. The independent, unscored field test by GQ España's Néstor Parrondo (20 October) likewise praised sled traction and lifting stability while cautioning against using it as a distance trainer.
Wider manufacturer-hosted ratings (separate samples): Nike Japan currently reports 4.5/5 across 31 men's reviews; Nike US reports 4.5/5 across 16 women's reviews. These figures are Nike's displayed aggregates, not ARC customer ratings. Review pools are distinct men's and women's variants; region mirrors may syndicate the same individual reviews.

Review methodology (28 October 2026): eight unique, originally English, first-person Nike-hosted customer accounts, paraphrased in Australian English and saved with the reviewers' own original /5 scores (5, 2, 5, 5, 4, 4, 4, 5; total 34/8 = 4.25). Three selected reviewers explicitly disclosed promotional/free pairs (Sparzy, Al, nextlevel89). Other Nike reviews also contain promotional samples; selection bias and manufacturer hosting limit generalisability. Men/women variants were treated as one model family; regional mirrored reviews were not counted twice. Unscored editorial testing and pre-release speculation were excluded from the scored sample. No ARC first-hand testing or ARC-collected customer ratings are implied. Independent scored reviews from multiple publishers are still limited. Nike's broader displayed aggregate counts are not independently audited.

Reviews
“For easy runs the shoe feels supportive and comfortable, and its broad sole gives me a steady base for strength work. I can switch between running and lifting without bringing another pair.”
“The shoes feel light and comfortable for everyday running and gym work, although I would prefer a more specialised shoe for squats. They are useful for general training and lifting.”
“My usual size 12 from Nike Metcons left my heel slipping badly in the Hybrid RN. The fit felt too loose to keep the foot secure during training.”
“These work well for sleds, lunges and wall balls, but I would not choose them for racing or long runs. I needed a full size above my usual fit because a half-size increase still cramped my big toe.”
“The fit feels comfortably secure without being overly tight, with breathable materials and good freedom of movement during demanding training. My pair was supplied for review.”
“They supported long days of walking and weight training, and the upper felt flexible during quick gym movements. The pair was provided for this review.”
“The stable platform supported lifting while the cushioning had enough spring for shorter runs. Grip was reassuring and break-in minimal, although these are not as light as dedicated running shoes.”
“I really like these for strength sessions, but they fit smaller than expected. I wish I had ordered half a size up and hope they ease with wear.”
“They fit my usual size and have performed well across circuit classes, remaining comfortable throughout the different exercises.”
“They work well for gym sessions and an easy road run, with a comfortable feel. The fit seems slightly small to me, so I would check sizing carefully.”
“I found them suitable for lifting and sled work, but the running performance fell well short of what I wanted from a hybrid trainer.”
“For strength circuits and interval running between stations, these feel supportive and comfortable enough to replace my two-shoe routine. They run a little small, and I would still choose a dedicated shoe for longer runs.”
