Body Glide Original is a useful running-kit option to compare if friction from clothing or equipment is a recurring annoyance. The manufacturer describes a plant-derived, dry balm applied directly from a stick before activity, designed to create a barrier against rubbing.
Its small stick format is the practical appeal: you can pack it with your training essentials and apply it without scooping a cream from a tub. This is a researched guide, not an ARC product trial or a guarantee that the balm will work identically for every runner.
Where it fits
Consider it when assessing the comfort of a long-run kit, particularly around places where your chosen clothing or straps rub. The manufacturer identifies areas such as thighs, underarms, waistbands and feet among potential application points.
Balm is one part of that kit choice. Also check clothing seams, fit and the position of loaded vest straps. Buying an anti-chafe stick does not mean you should ignore equipment that rubs from the start.
Application and limitations
The manufacturer's directions specify use on intact skin before activity and reapplication as needed, particularly in heat or humidity. It describes the product as sweat- and water-resistant and says it washes off with mild soap.
Follow the label on your exact pack. Do not assume that one application will last an entire event, and try the product with your actual running kit during training. The manufacturer limits it to external use; it should not be treated as a repair product for broken skin.
