Silva Trail Runner Free 2 Hybrid is a lightweight running headlamp designed for night training and easier trails. With the included rechargeable Hybrid battery it produces up to 500 lumens, reaches a stated 80 metres on maximum mode and weighs 113 grams including the battery. Silva’s Intelligent Light system combines a long-range spotlight with a broader close-range flood beam to illuminate both the route ahead and nearby foot placement.
The power cable is integrated into the anti-slip textile headband, while a red rear safety light sits in the battery case. Both the lamp and battery meet the IPX5 water-resistance standard. The included 1.25 Ah battery charges by USB-C and provides a stated 1.5 to 3 hours on maximum power. The same hybrid case can accept three AAA batteries as a backup, although those are not included.
This model suits runners prioritising low weight, balanced fit and flexible power options rather than maximum ultra-distance runtime. For long or remote outings, choose a brightness level appropriate to the expected duration and carry backup power. Confirm required burn time in training before relying on it for an overnight event. Specifications and the official 999 SEK price were checked on 23 October 2026.
