Suunto Aqua headphones combine an open-ear bone-conduction design with features for running, swimming and other outdoor training. At 35 g, the titanium-alloy and silicone frame leaves the ear canal open, helping users remain more aware of their surroundings than with sealed earbuds. Bluetooth handles normal streaming, while 32 GB of onboard storage supports offline audio when a phone is impractical or cannot maintain a connection underwater.
The IP68-rated headset is tested for two hours at depths of up to five metres. Suunto lists up to 10 hours of playback from the headphones, with the included charging powerbank extending total use to 30 hours. Motion sensing supports head-gesture controls, neck-mobility checks and swimming metrics such as head pitch, breathing frequency and glide time through the Suunto app.
Open-ear listening does not remove the need for situational awareness around traffic or shared paths, and local rules should always be followed. The current official US price is US$179. Colour, stock and retailer availability may change.
